Minor

Philosophy Minor

Program

The philosophy minor is intended to allow students the opportunity to pursue substantial philosophical inquiry alongside their chosen program/major. Students who study philosophy engage with deep and complicated questions about the nature of existence, truth, and morality. While studying canonical answers to these questions, students develop substantial skills in critical thinking, persuasive writing, and reading comprehension. These skills enable philosophy minors to be among the most reflective students in their chosen major program, due to their developed abilities for interdisciplinary dialogue and critique.
