The Cottey College General Education Framework
Cottey’s general education curriculum is intentionally designed to nurture well-rounded individuals who can make responsible choices for themselves and their communities. It provides a breadth of knowledge, consistent with liberal arts tradition and Cottey’s three threads, to enhance students’ lives and future success, while empowering them to make connections across disciplines and develop a holistic, forward-looking understanding of the social, political, and economic dynamics of the world they inhabit.

Explorations Provides students opportunities to engage with faculty and teaching staff members by exploring unique and exciting learning experiences that are focused on a variety of enrichment topics. Explorations are two-week courses occurring at the beginning of each semester. Students are required to pass one Explorations course for each semester they attend Cottey.
