An interdisciplinary major, Environmental Studies integrates the natural sciences, social sciences, and humanities. It offers students a comprehensive and nuanced understanding of the earth, its resources, and human-environmental relationships. Experiential learning in coursework and internships provides students with important real-world experiences. Students are exposed to scientific principles and fieldwork methodologies as well as a curriculum that emphasizes a critical understanding of socio-cultural, economic, and political contexts that significantly impact the environment and affect policy development.
