BMB 410: Principles of Medical Diagnostics

Presents basic principles of current medical diagnostic methods and the scientific principles behind those methods. Will include topics such as proteomic mass spectroscopy, UV/Vis spectroscopy, IR spectroscopy, and FRET, and the applications of these spectroscopic techniques in the diagnosis of disease.

BMB 490: BMB Capstone

Credits 4
Students identify a knowledge gap in a topic related to Biomedical Sciences. Their research evaluates scientific problems by reading science articles, experimenting in the laboratory, and formulating possible solutions or future directions. The project is completed with the support of a faculty advisor and includes a written paper and oral presentation.
